PINASCO is a big name in tuning fans history books. Back in 1969, the Italian motor magazine "Motorciclismo" presented a PINASCO tuning cylinder for Vespa, the first tun-ing cylinder ever marketed. Dependability and top quality workmanship, that's been PI-NASCO's badge of recognition for decades. Well earned indeed, say all their satisfied customers back then and today. The excellent aluminum cylinder with it's high quality nicasil lining, 6 transfers and solid ASSO piston, stands for the impeccable workmanship and continuous high standards of PINASCO.
In 2017 the famous Italian tuners PINASCO released a new cylinder to the public for the Vespa T5 model. Its fresh design could hardly be compared to that of its predecessor produced by the same company. The transfer port architecture was revised and includes a dual-bridged exhaust port. To ensure the cylinder head is correctly positioned, a pair of centring studs have also found their way into the design. A brass gasket is included to improve the transfer of excessive heat between the cylinder and the cylinder head, so improving its stability.
This performance cylinder is available in two versions: The 'Master' for use with a traditional disc-valve set up and the 'Slave' version, equipped with a reed-valve inlet positioned on its upper flank. The 'Slave' cylinder cannot be combined with the ORIGINAL fuel-oil mixer mechanism as the reed-valve inlet is in its mounting position.
The piston design is kept as light as possible, possesses two 1mm thick piston rings and is held in position by a 15mm gudgeon pin. To enable its fitting in the original crankshafts small end a special adapter bearing is included in the delivery.
Conclusion: An excellent cylinder from PINASCO, built to enhance the ORIGINAL T5 engine casings!
