Rear brake drums for Lambretta models are now only available from low-quality production runs which is usually adequate for use with a standard motor, but useless on tuned machines. Casa have developed and produced a reinforced high quality rear drum brake by the name of 'Octopus'. As the name might suggest, alongside the high end production and rugged reinforcements their brake drum is equipped with a total of eight wheel mounting studs. Over-tightened and sheared studs have become a thing of the past! The spline arrangement combined with the special mounting of the drum to the drive shaft makes the original conus fixing unnecessary! Standard Lambretta wheels with only four mounting holes can still be used with no problems. To exploit this eight-hole mounting system Casa Performance also have special 'Octopus' tubeless wheels available. Their brake drums are available in two versions: The first intended for attachment to standard Lambretta drive shafts and the second that is exclusively compatible with their Casa Performance 'Multispline' drive shafts.
